For the tequila: (multiplies as needed)
1 1/2 cups silver tequila
2 small jalapeños, sliced
Make the tequila:
Slice the jalapenos, and add them to the tequila in a jar with a lid that seals. Let them sit for 2 hours, then drain the tequila, and toss the jalapenos.
Make the marg:
Once tequila is infused, add 1 shot of it to a cocktail shaker with the ice, the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, agave, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Shake well, and strain into your glass!
I really love a jalapeno margarita, but I probably never would have made one had I not bought way too many grapefruits than I knew what to do with. I love grapefruit, but really only when combined with other things. I think I am always looking for them to be as sweet as an orange, and am always disappointed. But on a rainy saturday, with nothing but time, and just happening to also have jalapenos... this did the trick!
