I really love a jalapeno margarita, but I probably never would have made one had I not bought way too many grapefruits than I knew what to do with. I love grapefruit, but really only when combined with other things. I think I am always looking for them to be as sweet as an orange, and am always disappointed. But on a rainy saturday, with nothing but time, and just happening to also have jalapenos... this did the trick!

I have been excited to try this cocktail for a few weeks now! I loved a classic shandy back in the gluten days, so finding this delicious alternative is a big win. I also finally had an excuse to buy a bottle of Cassis (!!!) making the casual Kir Royale, my favorite cocktail, within reach at all times. |
