These are some of the images inspiring me, mixed with items that have been sitting in my shopping cart for a little too long now, helping to get me through these last couple of weeks of winter. The roof of my apartment building can not open soon enough.
There's something about entertaining in the spring that feels a little more rustic than any of the other seasons. Everything feels a little more fresh. From the food, to spring flowers, warm air (that makes me want to actually get my butt off of my couch), the stuffiness and over-planning of the holidays being over, going rustic is just the change I need.

This years DC Design House is located in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Washington, D.C.! So excited to be working on my favorite place in the home .... the bar. Here are some initial images to add to the mood board.
One of the things that really panicked me about the Paleo diet was dips. Without dairy or legumes, it ruled out every dip I have ever had or made, except for salsa, which just isn't ideal for veggies. And who wants veggies or a salad without dip or dressing? I don't want to see the day. SO! I found this ... and it is pretty great. It is very similar to a Green Goddess dressing, which pairs best with a more flavorful vegetable as a dip (read: tomatoes, peppers, asparagus, carrots...), but is great on just about any type of salad, or to drizzle over cooked fish! |
