Makes 2 Cocktails Ingredients: 2 single serving black tea bags 1/2 cup good quality honey 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice 1/2 cup 10 Cane rum, or dark rum of your choice ice fresh basil for garnish | Brew the black tea according to the directions (mine just needed to steep for 2 minutes) and chill completely. In a sauce pan over medium heat, combine the honey with 1/2 cup of water until the honey has dissolved. This should only take a minute. Remove from heat and let cool. Fill glasses with ice, and add equal parts of the iced tea, honey simple syrup, lemon juice, and rum. Give a quick stir, garnish with a sprig of basil, and serve! |
There is no better time or place to enjoy an Arnold Palmer than at the beach in the summer. I could not wait that long. BUT, I feel very well prepared for this summers cocktail line-up that will be a hit among the whole family. However it is just in time for a little Masters weekend, afternoon golf watching cocktail. 10 Cane is hands down my favorite rum. Especially when you're trying to omit sweeteners as much as possible (which ain't easy for a really good cocktail) this rum is much smoother and sweeter than most, making it easier to give a little bit with the sugar.
